This week was a busy one. We started to learn cursive handwriting and started our spelling groups. Some people in our class find handwriting a challenge and some of us are really enjoying it. We learned the letters c, a and d. Soon we will be able to write some real words.
On Monday we went outside and took some pictures of things that represent the colours of CJFS. Some of the colours that we found were: orange, Calgary Brown. blue, red, white and black. We started to create a colour thesaurus. We will be writing poems about these colours next week.
Thursday was a busy day, we met our buddy classes for the first time. We are paired up with Miss Broadland and Miss Farley's grade one and two students. After meeting with our buddies, we had the first fire drill of the year.
Friday was our annual pancake breakfast put on by the North East Calgary Rotary Club. "There were a lot of people wearing cowboy hats." said Ibsa. "The pancakes were delicious" said Arpit. Nevaeh remarked that " The pancakes and sausages were awesome and tasty". Dev like that there were different types of juices. Annika said "I loved the music they put on".
We will be writing our first letters home today about our week. Look for our home journals and maybe you can write us back.
Stay tuned for more adventures from our class.
