October Week 2

Graphing started in room 12 and 14.  We used tally marks, pictographs and bar graph. We represented the number of tickets each student got since the beginning of the year to award a prize.

In science we mixed soil samples with water and let them settle overnight.  In the soil samples we were able to see different layers of sediment.  We drew what we saw in the soil samples and labeled some of the different layers.

We also had a substitute teacher named Mrs. Phillips.  She was fantastic, helpful, amazing, kind and nice.

In handwriting we have been learning y, i, f, u and h.  These new letters helped us learn to write some excellent new words.

We have read many chapters of The Wild Robot and this morning we are going to write a letter to our buddy class in Wisconsin.  In our letters we will be sending illustrations we made of Roz.
