This week in Gym we have been playing soccer outside. As long as the weather is nice, we will be having gym outside. That means we should be bringing water bottles, sun screen and hats.
In Science we have started to learn about Animal Life Cycles. We have some new pets in our class, they are Mealworms. We have learned: They have teeth and claws. They aren't actually worms but are larva that will turn into Darkling beetles. We are feeding them sweet potatoes, oats and wheat germ. They have a hard exoskeleton which sheds when they grow.
In Social Studies we have made dolls representing the different countries that we have been studying this year.
In Math we are working on fractions and decimals. We have learned that fractions are equal parts of a whole. A decimal is related to fractions and are less than one.
Today we performed for the volunteer tea. We are singing Hot Cross Buns, some students are playing recorders, xylophones and tone chimes. We really appreciate all of the work that our volunteers do.
We have been working on keeping our classroom tidier and our hard work has paid off and today we won The Golden Garbage Can!!
