This week we had another visit from the artist in residence.  We looked at pictures of our animals and then we painted the base coat on the masks.  We also started to research our animals.  We learned about where they live, what they eat, their lifespan, some interesting facts about them, their prey and predators and learned how big they are.  We are working on completing our best work for a detailed drawing of their homes and what the animal looks like.  Our animal research and the story planner went home for homework on Thursday if it wasn't complete and is due on Monday.
We started to learn about infographics this week.  Infographics can help people learn about all kinds of things, they provide information about a subject using pictures and writing.  We are learning about one of the four countries that we are studying and creating an infographic about it.
Next week we will be going to Jack Singer Concert Hall on Tuesday morning for a field trip.  We will be leaving at 9:00 AM it is very important that all students are on time that day.  All students also need to bring a lunch that day as we may be late getting back from the field trip and we will be eating when we get back.
Next week we are starting gymnastics in gym.  We need to make sure we are wearing comfortable clothes, no jewelry and long hair should be tied back.
